social security issues : I am 36 with 2 kids, one is 17, and one is 15. I am on Social Security. Will I get a rebate check even if I didn’t file homestead or taxes, because of over the limit for Homestead and could not file dur to the fact I am on Social Security.

social security issues : My father is eligible for social security (lives out of state) and I am a minor. Thus, I am entitled to benefits but I do not know how to file an application. I checked online, and they do not have an application for children available. Do you have a link to the application, or do I obtain a paper copy at the SS office? Thanks. PS I am not a disabled child-I am looking to collect benefits on my father’s behalf
So after he files, what do I have to do? Why did the SS office send me a letter telling ME to file an application?

social security issues : I have engaged a nanny to look after my todlerorks at my home. I pay her wages which I have to report to the social security for my tax benefits. Can anybody advise me how to do it? Also please tell how the nanny will show her social security taxes on her return? Please advise in detail.

social security issues : Hello,

I am 64 years old and currently collecting Social Security benefits.

I am a permanent resident of the U.S., but am considering immigrating to another (S.E. Asian) country.

If I do this, I assume I will eventually lose my permanent residency.

Will losing my permanent residency affect my SS benefits?

That is, will I NOT be able to collect benefits if I lose my permanent residency?

social security issues : I got my social security statement in the mail today and it shows that I made ,000 in 1989. I was 6 in 1989 so obviously wasn’t working. It also shows income in 1990 when I would have been 7, then doesn’t show anything until 1999 when I was 16 and got my first job.
