social security issues : Green card for 16 years in US who has paid taxes and contributed to the social security pool. If he leaves US for good and goes back to his country. What happened to his deductions lying with the US Government ? How can he draw or claim his ‘deductions’ ?

social security issues : Someone worked for over a year at a company in a different city with MY social security number. I just found out recently and am working on getting the whole mess straightened out. What are the general consequences for someone using another person’s ss # without their knowledge? If the person is an illegal immigrant, can they be deported?

social security issues : Is it true that people in the government don’t pay into social security but receive wonderful pensions and benefits when they retire? The reason I asked is because I keep getting this email about that and how we pay their pensions. and they hundreds of thousands of dollars each each without have to pay s.s. And how we should rip this golden fleece out from underneath them and make them get regular old social security benefits like you and I and see how fast the fix it. Is all this true, are we once again getting screwed while they get to retire in luxury while we pick up the tab?

social security issues : My ex-husband was a legal resident for 23 years of the US. He was deported for a domestic violence charge. I was wondering what happens to all his Social Security he has paid?

social security issues : A dependant works for a university and her paystubs have federal taxes withheld, but no social security of medicare. She tells me that the school told her that she doesn’t pay that but she is unsure why. Possibly becasue they are a federal university? I don’t know if that sounds right or not.
If it is incorrect, will she then owe whatever amount at the end of the year?
