Ask: Muslims: what are quotes from Quaran about how important it is be educated?

discovery education issues : hi everyone,
I am doing a paper on the many worldly contributions that Islam made. I know that Quran says the thirst for knowledge is important, but I am having much trouble finding a quote from Quran to show that. In terms of educated/thirst for knowledge, I mean more in the way making discoveries for the good the world/having an education for personal goodness of the individual. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me!

i got hadiths (sayings of the prophet) which is sort of the same

“Seeking ‘Ilm (knowledge) is incumbant on every Muslim.”

“Seeking knowledge is incumbent on every Muslim; he who offers knowledge to
those who do not appreciate it, is like the one who decorates pigs with
precious stones, pearls and gold”

“You should be a scholar, or a student, or a listener, or a lover of ‘Ilm
and scholars, and you should not be the fifth which makes you perish.
‘Ata’ said, Mis’ar said to me: You added a fifth point which we do not have.
The fifth point is: To hate ‘Ilm and its people.”

(‘llm= knowledge)

“Do not acquire knowledge in order to vie with scholars, and to wrangle with the foolish, and to sit in the best seats: whoever does that his abode will be the Fire, the Fire.”(that’s just means if u use your knowledge wrong then its hell)

“My Lord! I ask You for beneficial knowledge, and I seek refuge with You
from non-beneficial knowledge.”

“He who leaves his home in order to seek knowledge, he is in Allah’s path
until he returns [to his home].”

As far as wordly contributions…

1) The chemical properties of alkalis and acids were discovered by Islamic scientists.

2) The process of distillation was formulated and used to produce petrol from crude oil.

3)Islamic scientists contributed to algebra, algorithms, trigonometry, geometry, chemistry, cosmology, astronomy, medicine and optics.

4)Islamic scholars developed the concepts of modern hospitals, universities, observatories and civil systems.

5)The concept of zero reached medieval Europe through the Arab nations who had probably learned of it from ancient Hindu and Chinese cultures. Prior to this Europe struggled with a system of Roman numerals, in which large numbers would consist of huge strings of letters. Once zero was incorporated, numbers took on the more manageable decimal system that we use today.

Most of this happened while the Western world was in the “Dark Ages”.
We also introduced the guitar =]

Quotes from the Qur’an that are related to education could be taken from Surah Al-Zumr, ayah 9:
“Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?”

and Surah Al-Baqarah, ayah 269:
“Allah grants wisdom to whom He pleases and to whom wisdom is granted indeed he receives an overflowing benefit.”
