Ask: A career as a Pilot, i really need some advice?

environment canada issues : Hi Guys,

I am really in need for advice preferably from people who are in the field of Aviation.
I’ll try to be brief in this.
I am 28 yrs old now and im thinking of pursuing a career as a commercial pilot. My main concern right now is the age, am I too old to consider pursuing a career like that now? My story is that I graduated from the faculty of commerce/accounting and after graduation I tried to work as an accountant but I really didn’t like it, so I thought that I was the type of person who doesn’t like these type of routine jobs, so I moved on and I worked in the customer service and sales field, but again I didn’t feel like this is me.

I felt like I wasn’t born to work these types of regular jobs, setting on a desk all day doing stuff that I actually hate or dealing with angry customers most of the time (with all the respect for ppl who work those jobs), Im always imaging myself working in a fun environment like entertainment, adventure, tourism and these types of jobs. So I started thinking of the career that I wanna pursue for the rest of my life & feeling happy going to my work every day, so I’ve been thinking of this career for almost a couple of months now and ve done some research and I can really imagine myself doing this for the rest of my life but at the same time I just hope that it’s not a spur of the moment.
So im asking you guys because im really in need for advice and some answer to my questions from pros in that field as a part of my research that will help me make the right decision that will change my entire life.
So my questions are:
1.Is it ok for 28-yrs old to start pursuing a career as a pilot?
2.As I mentioned, I have a degree in commerce/accounting and 4 years of customer service and sales experience, so does that gonna help me by any means in getting a job as a pilot/flight instructor…etc?
3.I immigrated to Canada a year & a half ago so my degree is from outside Canada, does that gonna affect anything when applying for jobs in the future?
4.And of course English is my second lang. but I speak and listen very well, so am I gonna face any troubles getting the radio communication certificate and passing the english exam?
5.What is the best option for studying, going for a flight/aviation college diploma or starting with any of the local flying schools will do?
6.Does anyone recommend a specific school in Canada (preferably Ontario)?
7.What is the best way to fund my tuition?
I can’t think of anymore questions now but I think u understand my situation now guys that I really need to know everything about the career and whether to pursue it or not?
Your answers and any additional info will be much appreciated.
Thank you so much:)
